We are the neighborhood, organized
Together Be Well was formed by neighbors, health workers and faith leaders who were tired of watching preventable illness take people they loved. Our mission is to increase health awareness and reduce health disparities among the minority community — with education, connection and simple actions that fit real life.
What we believe
Four commitments shape every program we run and every partnership we accept.
Neighbors first
The people closest to the problem are the ones best placed to solve it. We train and pay attention to local leaders, not outside experts.
Plain language, always
If a health message needs a degree to understand, it will not change a single habit. We translate everything.
Dignity over pity
Disparities are a systems problem, not a personal failing. Our work starts from respect and ends in self-determination.
Small steps, kept
One action someone actually repeats beats a plan nobody follows. We would rather be modest and consistent.
Talk to a real person
Questions about a program, a partnership, a speaking request, or a story you think we should know about? Reach out — a neighbor will answer.
