Move twenty minutes
A brisk walk after a meal is enough.
Moving after eating helps your body use blood sugar instead of storing it.
Together Be Well increases health awareness and reduces health disparities in the minority community — through education, connection, and simple actions anyone can start today.
Wellness is our collective inheritance.
Zip code, income and skin color still predict how long a person lives. We are here to change what happens in between — one conversation, one reading, one habit at a time.
Our mission is to increase health awareness and reduce health disparities among the minority community. We do it by meeting people where they already are, teaching in plain language, and making the next step small enough to actually take.
We take health out of the waiting room and into kitchens, barbershops, churches and group chats — the places people already trust.
Plain-language teaching on the numbers that decide how long we live: blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, sleep and family history.
Small, repeatable steps that survive a busy week. Five everyday actions, taught by neighbors for neighbors.
“Nobody here needs a lecture. People need a neighbor who knows the numbers and walks with them.”
Four programs, one idea: awareness that ends in action. Every one of them is free, led by neighbors, and built for the real week you are living.
Free blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI checks hosted where people already gather.
How it worksFive simple daily actions that protect the heart, the brain and the years ahead.
How it worksSmall circles in living rooms and fellowship halls about the health we inherit.
How it worksNeighborhood walking groups and a six-week step challenge with real people, not an app.
How it worksLongevity is rarely a grand gesture. It is five small things, done often, that quietly protect your heart, your brain and your years. Pick one this week — not five.
A brisk walk after a meal is enough.
Moving after eating helps your body use blood sugar instead of storing it.
Vegetables, beans, fruit, whole grains.
Fiber feeds a healthier gut and helps keep blood pressure steady.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol — once a year.
Most of what quietly shortens life is silent until it is not.
Seven to eight hours, at the same time most nights.
Sleep is when the body repairs blood vessels, hormones and memory.
One real conversation, every single day.
Isolation carries health risk on its own. Connection is medicine that costs nothing.
Most of the sodium we eat is already in the food before it reaches the table.

If your church, shop, clinic or block club wants a screening table, a walking group or a Kitchen Table Talk, you can register your group in about two minutes.
One person can start a habit. A group can change what a whole block believes is normal.
No national overhead, no distant office. Gifts pay for screening supplies, printed materials, walk leader training and the small costs that keep neighbors showing up.
DonateAmounts shown are examples of what a gift covers. Every gift, of any size, is put to work locally.
